Jimbob Member	# Posted: 30 Jul 2008 19:40 Hey Guys, I just wanted to let you know that I'm planning on riding the MS with the TWMC Team. I say planning, I'm officially signed up. In addition, I thought I would brew a batch of beer for the MS150, Sunday Night after the ride. I need to get the beer started in the next couple of weeks in order that it'll be ready, bottled and carbonated by October. I'll be designing and brewing a Hefeweizen or Belgium Wit style beer. These are both wheat beers with some great flavor, and will be perfect after the long ride. I'm sure you've had Shiner Hefeweizen, if not you should try it. The Belgium Wit beer, a little different, is brewed with Belgian Yeast, which gives it a different flavor. What ever I do, the beer will be brewed with Wheat and Barley, mild hops, and possibly honey and some other spices. Should make for a nice crisp beer after the long two day ride. SOOOOOoooo, with that here's the challenge!!!.......NAME THAT BEER....the only rule is that the name should include something about cycling. It can be funny, dirty, include bad words...I don't care as long as it has to do with cycling. Christel and I (with some non-MS150 riding judges) will judge the names. The winner will get to baby sit the Twins for a weekend...just kidding. I will put up a $25 gift certificate to Lance's New Shop Mellow Johnny's for the best name. There is no limit on the entries and all I ask is that you contribute to the MS Society through the TWMC Team (doesn't have to be me). I will not enter a name by the way to keep it fair. So spread the word to the Austin group and the MS150 Team. I will take entries by email (see below for my email address) until Sunday August 31st and I'll announce the winner on this forum (and will inform the winner by email) on Saturday September 6th. This will give us enough time to select and announce the winner and then design a lable for the beer based on the winning name. So good luck, spread the word and contribute to MS. Jimbob Member	# Posted: 31 Jul 2008 07:19 I forgot to mention...I'll be webcasting the brew session. I'll post a link as soon as I've got everything set up. I will probably brew Saturday or Sunday and the process will take about 6 hours.

I have brewed a Belgium Wit Beer and it should be ready and bottled for the MS. Still looking for names Louis is the only one in the running and right now I'm voting for "Bee Sting Wit".
