Got this from the trail steward of the NORTHside trail

The Army Corps of Engineers at Lake Georgetown wants to get the south side of the Goodwater Trail open for bikes. This includes the same access for the quad runners to patrol the trail we gave them on the north side: a four foot wide corridor with places to go around if we squeezed the trail between the trees.

They didn't state when the trail would be opened, e.g. right after we affect the repairs, etc.

The Austin Ridge Riders and asked to be kept in the loop b/c I'm interested in volunteering as one of the trail stewards to get the loop around the lake complete.

As a reminder, if we get access to the south side Goodwater Trail, we will have a loop around the lake to pedal consisting of about a 20 miles singletrack, 5 miles doubletrack, and three miles pavement, which is the dam and closed to all but official vehicle traffic.
